KEMSA GETS ISO 9001: 2008 RECERTIFICATION FROM BUREAU VERITAS.

Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) is a specialized medical logistics organization whose mandate is to procure, warehouse and distribute medical commodities to all public health facilities in the country.
And in recognition of its continued efforts to attain internationally recognized standards in the medical supply chain KEMSA certification has been renewed for the next three years by the ISO certification body, Bureau Veritas.
Commenting on its recertification, KEMSA Chief Executive Officer, Dr. John Munyu said: “KEMSA is honoured and privileged to get the ISO recertification from BureauVeritas which is an affirmation of our continued efforts to offer dedicated and efficient services to all our customers. We are most grateful to all our stakeholders and customers who have continually believed in our services. This will serve to encourage us at KEMSA to work even harder to attain more world class standards.
KEMSA has been recertified under the ISO 9001:2008 by the Bureau Veritas after successful implementation of its Quality Management Systems. KEMSA was first awarded an ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2007 after successful audit.
While presenting ISO certificate Bureau Veritas Managing Director Mr. Charles Ochieng congratulated KEMSA for the recertification saying KEMSA had demonstrated its ability to consistently provide services that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and encouraged the KEMSA management to aim higher in service delivery.
