Kitui Governor, Charity Ngilu, meets with KEMSA CEO, Dr. Jonah Manjari
Kitui Governor, Charity Ngilu today held a meeting with KEMSA CEO, Dr. Jonah Manjari to identify ways of strengthening their partnership to improve accessibility of Health Products and Technologies for Kitui residents.
The Governor introduced to KEMSA, Kitui County Textile Centre (KICOTEC), which is the first ever garment factory by a County Government in Kenya. She urged for support from KEMSA particularly in hospital garments production especially Health worker uniforms and linen.
KICOTEC’s establishment will promote buying of local products thus propelling the growth of Small and Medium Enterprise which account a high percentage of the county’s income.
The CEO committed to collaborate with Kitui County in support of Local Manufacturers which is the President’s agenda.
